Sam Pfanstiel, Ph.D., is a P2PE, PIN, 3DS, and SSF assessor with 25 years of senior IT management and payment security experience. He is active in the Payments community, including the PCI Cloud Cryptographic Services SIG and Encryption Task Force. His background covers a broad spectrum of disciplines, including GRC, encryption technologies, application security, and infrastructure. He has three adult children, lives in Denver with his wife of 25 years, and enjoys trail running and skiing.
