Ryoji Ihara
Associate Director, Japan, PCI Security Standards Council
Ihara Ryoji serves as Associate Director, Japan and is responsible for driving awareness and adoption of the PCI Security Standards for payment card security within Japan. Ihara works closely with merchants, acquirers, financial institutions, security practitioners, law enforcement and other key stakeholders across the Japanese payment eco-system.
Ihara’s background with Visa and Nippon Shinpan in Japan gives him a unique perspective into the security challenges facing Japan today and into the future.
Additionally, Ihara contributed articles to four industry books published for increase of public / industry awareness about payment card security in Japan.
