Yew Kuann Cheng

Regional VP, Asia-Pacific, PCI Security Standards Council

Mr. Cheng Yew Kuann is the Regional Vice President of PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) in Asia Pacific, and he leads PCI engagement activities in the region. Yew Kuann, or YK for short, has more than 20 years of experience in risk management, payments and cybersecurity. Before joining the Council, Yew Kuann has been with a variety of organizations including a fintech, a consulting firm and notably, 15 years at Visa’s Asia Pacific Risk Management Department where he supported some of the largest acquirers in the region on risk-related matters including PCI DSS compliance. He is well-versed in payment technologies, fraud management processes and tools and of course, how PCI standards can be used to safeguard the payment ecosystem. Yew Kuann has a bachelor’s degree in Computing from Monash University in Australia.
