Skyler has over a decade of experience working as a QSA, QSA(P2PE), QPA, and CPSA-L/-P helping clients architect, develop, and implement systems and software for use in and support of PCI DSS environments. He has authored and spoken on multiple security topics including cryptographic security, key management, social-engineering, penetration testing, software development lifecycle, and PCI compliance. Over the last year, Block, Amazon Web Services, and Coalfire worked collaboratively to migrate PIN processing to the cloud. As with any migration to new technologies or novel architectures that were not included in previous compliance assessments, this effort faced many challenges and resulted in many lessons learned.
