Yew Kuann Cheng

Regional VP, Asia Pacific, PCI Security Standards Council

Mr. Cheng seeks to expand PCI SSC’s outreach efforts to educate and promote the importance of the PCI Security Standards throughout the region. In this role, Mr Cheng will help to drive awareness and growth of the Council with an emphasis on educating stakeholders on the importance of data security for payments, growing participation, and supporting the adoption of PCI SSC standards within the AP region.

With more than 22 years of payments, risk management and cybersecurity experience, Mr. Cheng has helped some of the largest issuers, acquirers, processors and merchants in Asia Pacific to navigate the complex payment ecosystem in this region.

Before joining the PCI Security Standards Council, Mr. Cheng was the Senior Director of Risk Strategy and Operations in Asia Pacific for Visa. Mr. Cheng holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computing from Monash University in Australia.
