Mr. Smith serves as the VP, Chief Information Security Officer of Nuvance Health. He is committed to protecting the information that is entrusted to Nuvance by the communities the Health System serves.\u00a0 In support of Nuvance\u2019s goals, Mr. Smith oversees the Information Security and IT Risk Management vision, strategy, delivery, and operations for the Health System.<\/p>\n
For over 18 years, Mr. Smith has been dedicated to building world class Information Security and IT Risk Management Organizations within the healthcare industry.\u00a0 Prior to Nuvance, Mr. Smith served as the Chief Information Security Officer of MultiCare Health serving Washington and Idaho as well as Manager of Information Security and Information Security Officer for Rochester Regional Health System.<\/p>\n
Mr. Smith earned his Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems and his Executive Master of Business Administration from the Saunders College of Business at the Rochester Institute of Technology. \u00a0He has also achieved the CISSP, CISM and CPHIT certifications.<\/p>\n
