Guillaume Dabosville

Security Expert, Cartes Bancaires

Guillaume received a graduate degree from the University of Caen (France), where he received a master’s degree in computer science and cryptology in 2001. He has been a research engineer in cryptology at the University of Caen for three years and security expert for an ITSEF named AQL in Rennes (West of France) for about two years. In 2008, he joined the Crypto & Security Group of Oberthur Technologies where he worked for seven years on the improvement and development of cryptographic algorithm implementations in smart cards with a particular concern on physical attacks. In 2015, Guillaume joined the Crypto & Security team of Safran-Morpho where he worked on several and different topics like the assessment against side-channel analysis of cryptographic primitives’ implementations, the improvement of techniques allowing to derive a cryptographic key from biometrics (with a focus on face biometrics), and several topics related to cryptography. He joined Cartes Bancaires in September 2017 to strengthen the security team. His main missions are to provide support to the other teams on topics related to cryptography, to participate in the definition of the security requirements of the new and innovative products which are related to the French payment industry and to monitor the associated security assessments. He also took the lead of CB project ‘migration to AES’ in 2020.

This is a joint presentation from Australian Payments Network and Cartes Bancaires, exploring the approaches being undertaken, the relevant domestic contexts, and key issues and lessons learnt within these programs.

Within the presentation, suggestions and recommendations as to how PCI SSC and the PCI Community may help and benefit from these programs.
